Glock Gen 4 Extractor - Just thought I'd put that out there. At age 65, with 9 years of active duty in the last century and an average of 5 days a week with a Colt Government 1911, this has carried over into my personal carry choices. I talked myself into upgrading this month and picked up a Gen 4 Model 19 from a local dealer on 12/8/14. I took it down before lining it up to clean and inspect it and found that it has a 336 extractor assembly that is responsible for many premature release problems. Any updates on this issue or problem? I was under the impression that they would provide "replaceable" parts and stop using the pistol. I called the dealer I bought the pistol from and he said they were not aware of any recent recalls or the need to replace the ejector assembly or the double spring assembly.
Sounds like you have a lazy dealer. If you google it, it's almost all over. We will try to contact you directly. The other one was shipped so recently that it has an old extractor. When the seller says "I went in", is it the same as saying "I bought a new one" or something else.

That said, it may work well on your dog. However, if it were me, I would want to know if the gun is configured with the latest, most recent parts.

You mentioned an "ejection problem" but you mentioned the Ejector part number so I could give you a partially helpful answer. Ejector improved on Gen4 9mm s. The most common problem with older 336 Ejectors is either improper ejection or "BTF" (Brass on Face). It is usually quickly resolved by installing a new ejector.
The Ejector marked 336 is worn on your pistol, but the single ejection is now impossible to obtain. The part you must have is marked 30274 (see below), which is only sold assembled with the Trigger Body, Part No. 30275.
It is available from meister (among others) for $7.00 plus tax and shipping: Ejector Trigger Housing for Gen 4 9MM Models-www.meister.com

If you can find a local Armorer, he may be able to get the part as a free replacement (which I did), but recently I've noticed that he doesn't want to ship these directly to customers, only Armorers. Maybe I caught one of them on a bad day. You can call them at 770-432-1202, ask for Customer Support (or Service) and see what they can do for you.
It is assumed to have been taken from that date. I bought it BNIB and did a warranty registration online. I'll try to get in touch when I get the serial # when I get home tonight. Not sure whether to call them or try them online.

Thanks, I meant ejaculate, not ejaculate. I believe I also have a double spring guide rod assembly that needs replacing.

If not, the part is also worn out and can be replaced free of charge. See this link for instructions (Recoil Spring Exchange Program | USA). If you mention them, they can send you a 30275 Trigger Mechanism Body with the new 30724 Ejector.
A brown envelope should be inside the box with the expired case inside (the envelope is probably sealed). There is a date on the outside of the envelope - this is the date the gun was tested at the factory. I would be interested to know the date of this, I suspect it is not 12/2014.
Actually the date on the envelope is 12/4/2014. I assume someone at the dealership changed them.

OK - returned the gun to the dealer with a ton of supporting information from the internet. After avoiding the salesmen, they engaged the owner in conversation, and he was fully aware of the history of early trigger compounds and RSAs. He called the factory verified production date with the serial number and concluded that someone at the shop had changed the parts. Long story short, it will replace RSA and trigger mechanism.
Strange situation. I have no idea what the motivation of someone in the store would be. parts would change. Oh, I'm glad you fixed it!
Unfortunately, they (and everyone involved in this scam) tried to pass it on to an unsuspecting customer!
At least the shop owner did the right thing here, that's all that matters. It is likely that the person originally trading the gun could have handed it over to the shop staff for their protection. What still smells a little fishy is how it stacks up to the factory test drive with a fairly recent history. What mfr date did the serial number correspond to?
Is My Glock 26 Gen 4 Supposed To Have A Bent Ejector?
If the serial number is new production, then yes, I'd agree it's a smoking gun where some slimeball takes the "good parts" of your gun and puts it in the gun, then puts his "good parts bad" in yours.

Thanks to everyone who answered. Learned to vet autoloader purchases better in the future. Click to expand... This is very disturbing. I'm glad you got a good result, but it's pretty disgusting to see a gun dealer pull something like this (or suffer). If this is a stocking stuffer, you need to talk about such nonsense. It is a scam and deceives a new customer using information that the customer will never know.
My opinion (only) is that the person doing this should look for another job, the old fraud is tolerated.
Good for you for doing your research and getting satisfaction. Many people would throw their hands up and assume that this was intentionally shipping defective pistols.

Well, my turn. After reading this thread I checked the ejector on the gen 4 17. It has 336 ejectors. I called tech support and was told I could send the gun to them and they would replace it or I could send the part to a current "certified" gunsmith. I told the guy that I went through armed school three times before I retired. My certificate expired last year. He said it was company policy that he could not send me a part.
It seems strange that you can't buy simple parts, it's not
